An evening with award-winning Michelin starred chef, Jean-Christophe Novelli

In conjunction with the launch of the Durham Food Festival we would like to invite you to join a special fundraising dinner in support of the Durham University Charities Kommittee (DUCK).

Experience a delicious gourmet three course meal prepared by Durham University’s Executive Head Chef, Michael Thorne, who himself trained at a Michelin starred restaurant. The menu will feature ingredients sourced from local producers and quality wines will be served to compliment each course.

The event will feature a meet and greet and photo opportunity with the Michelin and 5AA Rosette award winning chef Jean-Christophe Novelli. He will also be available for questions throughout the evening. His attributes include AA Chef's Chef of the Year, European Chef of the Year finalist representing Great Britain and the prestigious Egon Ronay Dessert of the Year. He has won restaurant of the year several times and many other awards on numerous occasions.

We will also welcome on the evening, North east born chocolatier, Paul A. Young. Paul is a groundbreaking and inspirational chocolatier who is at the forefront of the British chocolate scene. Paul’s passion for his craft and his cutting edge creativity have won him numerous awards and left him to being ranked amongst the world’s best chocolatiers. You will learn all about fine chocolate and have the opportunity to taste some exciting and mouth watering varieties.

There will be entertainment and a raffle on the evening with prizes donated from both Jean-Christophe Novelli and Paul A. Young. There will also be the opportunity to win a night stays in Durham Castle.
