The purpose of Durham Business Group is to support and champion businesses, and business people, in the North East of England – building relationships, fostering collaboration, and celebrating success.
Established in 1981 as a non-profit organisation to support small businesses, our range of members and clients now embraces everything from one-person start-ups to large corporates, but our focus on promoting North East business – and the values that inspire what we do – remain unchanged.
Durham Business Group has three areas of activity: Durham Business Club; The Executive Group; and Durham Office Services.
Durham Business Club – business networking
Durham Business Club is a membership-based business networking organisation that provides a friendly, welcoming forum for North East business people to build fulfilling relationships, both though our regular events and our online networks.
Meetings are relaxed and informal, and held twice a month in interesting venues across County Durham and Tyne & Wear – with no scary sales pitches or hidden charges. It’s all about meeting people old and new, building a rapport, and taking it from there. Membership is currently just £200 per year plus VAT.

The Executive Group
The Executive Group is a premium level of membership especially for larger businesses and enterprises in the North East.
Members get all the benefits of DBC, plus an extra programme of regular lunch events for senior-level managers in stunning venues across the region – again with a focus on nurturing relationships in a relaxed, non-sales environment.

Durham Office Services
Durham Office Services provides friendly, professional virtual office services from our base at Portland House in Durham DH1, for clients in the North East and across the UK. DBC members get special discounts on many services.
Our telephone answering, registered office address, mail package and admin assistance services help make life easier for the businesses we work with. We also have quality office spaces to rent, and meeting rooms available to hire.
All profits from Durham Office Services are reinvested in our core work, giving us a sustainable platform from which to support and celebrate North East businesses for years to come.
