Social Media platforms appear to change on a daily basis, with design changes and new facilities being added – old ones disappearing – and as for the changes to the Facebook algorithm it can all be so confusing.
I’m a huge believer in the fact that once you understand how these Social Media Platforms work and actually have a strategy, you will find you will be in control of your Social Media marketing, and once established, you will find that you can manage your Social Media in just 10 minutes a day!
I have been teaching the use of LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter for 4 years and more recently Google+ and love Social Media. I embrace the changes as they are usually a good thing (not that everyone thinks so at the time) – it also ensures that I am kept busy, making myself learn new things, watching for changes etc., I’m one of many Facebook developers so I get to test some of the new facilities before they are put out on general release (and before all the bugs have been ironed out).
The biggest mistake I find people make on Social Media is in choosing their platform – and there are so many to choose from! When deciding which ones to use, you should be thinking about where your audience is, which platforms are they using – as opposed to which ones you prefer.
I do hope you will join me for the Facebook and Twitter Workshop, I’ll be giving all kinds to tips to you to make your Social Media marketing easier for you, yet more effective.
For the time being, I’ll leave you with one of my favourite tips:-
Do Not Drink And Tweet!
