DBC Members The Work Place have been delivering quality training courses in Health & Safety and First Aid for over 6 years and their centre is registered with a number of awarding bodies to deliver accredited courses, run both on and off site.

FIRE WARDEN TRAINING COURSE – HALF DAY
Date: 4th December 2017
This interactive course covers the role of the designated fire marshal (fire warden) and gives delegates all round knowledge including:
- how to prevent a fire
- responsibilities of a Fire Warden/Marshal
- what to do in the event of a fire
- evacuation of the building
- basic fire hazards and consequential risks in the workplace and how to minimize fire risks
All of our instructors are ex-Fire Service with considerable experience of fire behaviour.
Who should attend: people with responsibility for fire safety, fire wardens and fire marshals..
Cost: £45 (+vat) per delegate – includes course materials, certificate and refreshments.
EMERGENCY FIRST AID Level 3 – ONE DAY
Date: 30th November 2017
This qualification enables a first-aider to give emergency first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill while at work.
The course provides a comprehensive introduction equipping learners with skills to deal with emergency first aid situations, including:
- managing an unresponsive casualty
- assessing a first aid incident
- CPR
- choking
- shock
- wounds and bleeding and minor injuries
- Maintain records and first aid kits
Who should attend: staff with specific responsibility at work to provide emergency first aid.
Assessment: Assessment of practical skills and multi choice exam.
Cost: £65 (+vat) per delegate – includes course materials, certificate, light lunch and refreshments.
