Executive Group members enjoy networking lunch with Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums at Lumley Castle

Published by Durham Business Group

Members and guests of Durham Business Group’s Executive Group were delighted to return to magnificent Lumley Castle for the first networking lunch of 2020.

Our generous hosts were Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums, who have artworks from The Laing Art Gallery on loan to Lumley Castle.

As ever, members and guests enjoyed lots of productive networking, a delicious lunch, and plenty of good photo opportunities!

The Late Shows

But the main focus of the event was for TWAM’s Sophia Stovall to talk about this year’s Late Shows – the annual “culture crawl” that takes place across Newcastle and Gateshead, this year on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 May.

We heard from Tom Gostling from The Biscuit Factory – once again, this year’s headline partner for The Late Shows (and the host of our next Executive Group lunch in April).

Then, Paul Lancaster from Newcastle Startup Week was introduced as the newest Late Shows 2020 partner! The Late Shows takes place the weekend before Newcastle Startup Week, so it makes sense to encourage delegates from outside the region to arrive a little earlier and soak up our culture.

Next time

Meanwhile, we’re looking forward to our next Executive Group event, bringing together senior directors and decision-makers from the North East in a relaxed, non-sales environment – you can find out more about The Executive Group here.

Thank you again to Sophia, Katie and the rest of the TWAM team for helping curate such a successful event – until the next time!
