We’re delighted National Trust are opening it’s doors to DBC members once again, this year we head to the coast as we visit the iconic Souter Lighthouse and Whitburn Coastal Conservation Centre. Opened in 1871, Souter Lighthouse was a marvel of its age and remains an iconic beacon. It was the first lighthouse in the UK designed and built to be powered by electricity, we invite you to climb the 76 steps to the top of the tower and visit Keeper’s Cottage to discover how a trainee lighthouse keeper lived in the 1950s.
A networking buffet will be served in the Conservation Centre.
